About the artist: Alexis Culver is an exacting and reclusive artist who splits her time between Asheville, NC and Bloomington, IN. She works primarily in fabrics and photographs. She’s interested in domesticity, Southern folk traditions, handwork, visual diaries, and doing everything herself. She’s devoted to a Very Bad Dog named Gus, despite his murderous tendencies.
